Information about the Service
The plan requires that a NBN compatible router is purchased from CBIT at a cost of $169 plus $22 for handling and delivery of the NBN router. CBIT will provide up to 15mins of telephone and email support for initial setup at no cost. Additional technical support, including onsite work, will be charged at $110 per hour in 15min increments. Onsite support, if required, is subject to availability. A standard installation is to one point in your house. If you require more you may need to undertake your own work. The minimum term for CBITs NBN service is 24 months. CBIT’s NBN service is not available in some areas. The line speed detailed above is the NBN port access speed. The actual speed will vary depending on a number of factors such as the equipment you are using, the NBN profile used by our suppliers, the nature and quality of the connection at your location, network utilisation and the number of customers accessing the network at any one time, your hardware or software and the websites that you visit. Consequently we cannot guarantee that the port speed will be available at your premise. CBIT’s NBN only provides for one dynamic IP address. CBIT’s NBN does not support IPTV in any way. It does not support any IPTV protocols so if you wish to use CBIT’s NBN for IPTV then this service is not suitable to you.
Information about Pricing
The maximum termination fee is $180 if any part of the service is terminated or transferred from CBIT during the 24 month contract term. All plan charges are GST inclusive, effective 1 January 2014 and apply 24 hours per day. Prorated charges will apply when you join CBIT’s NBN service the first invoice will be higher than the subsequent ones because it will contain the once-off fee for the NBN router and the postage and handling fee AND a charge for part of your first month’s service fee plus the full next month in advance.
